New York State Police Troop G Facility
Town of Colonie Operations CAR 8, Tom With, conducts a Monthly Meeting & Drill Program for all Town Fire Police Officers, and on March 14th, 2018, the Town Fire Police Officers took a field trip and were given a tour of the New York State Police Troop G Headquarters, in Latham, Town of Colonie. NYSP Staff Sgt. Timothy Morris conducted the tour with emphasis on their COMSEC (Communications Section) area. He provided an extensive tour and information on the facility’s operations. It was noted by the group that Staff Sgt. Timothy Morris has a great command of the interaction of Emergency Responders throughout the Troop G area. He is indeed a great asset, not only to the State Police, but to those agencies dependent upon emergency communications and road conditions as well.
